I grew up in the 1980's, with the Hasbro GI Joe toys, Larry Hama's Marvel comics, and the Sunbow TV show. They made a great impression on me as a child, and as an adult, I indulged my nostalgia in the "new sculpt" toys and Devil's Due version of the comic.

 

I had just finished my theatre degree by then, and as a stay-at-home dad, I had a lot of time to make customs of my favorite Joes.  I also found the JoeCustoms website and community which included several people who wrote fan-fiction using their figures. I tried my own diorama-comic (or dio-story), and over the course of the next few years, I wrote, staged, and photoshopped a total of eight "issues" and several mini-comics.

 

A lot of my free time nowadays is in the Houston community theatre scene, but I do have more dio-stories to tell. This site chronicles my stories to date.
